What is Gua Sha?

Gua Sha is an alternative therapy for improving blood circulation. It basically scrapes your skin to give it a natural blood flow. It can be used at home by yourself (very easy to learn and manipulate) or for a professional, that uses it at the clinic. It can help patient from muscle pain, muscle tensions and chronic pain.

How to use it?

But today, I am here to talk about the technique of using it on the face, because it is very easy to use at home, and beneficial, and especially cheap.

Before starting make sure you apply on clean face, and with your favorite oil or cream. With light pressure, you start scraping. Make sure that you constantly apply with light pressure, to work on your face effectively.

Step 1 / 2 : Forehead: Starting from the middle of your forehead, and this area will work on the healing.

Step 3: Third Eye: Use a curved part of the Gua Sha to relieve headaches. Stay at a bone of the brow for better result, and relieve migraine.

Step 4 / 5: Upper the eyes: Slowly and gently stroke that area.

Step 6 / 7: Outer eyes: To work on your lymphatic drainage.

Step 8 / 9: Under Eyes: Your eye bags will disappear, it will depuff that area.

Step 10 / 11: Down the nose: For sinus flow.

Step 12 / 13: Cheeks: Go from the side of your nose to across your cheek, to detox, and better lymphatic drainage.

Step 14 / 15: Cheeks part 2: Same thing, to detox.

Step 16 / 17: Moustache line

Step 18 / 19: V-line: Better shape for your jaw

Step 20 / 21: Finally, from the bottom to your neck, voila, you will have a better blood circulation!

The Gua Sha will help you in many possible ways, put some pressure on certain spot that you feel it is necessary for a relief, my favorite part is holding it at brow bone, in the middle because it really helps after a long day of work.

This small treatment / Spa time, is safe for daily uses, make sure that you apply a good moisturizer after that. An additional tip, you can also exfoliate your face before doing this, so that it deeply absorbs your products (such as your favorite cream or oil). Opens up your pores, and minimizes the blackhead appearance. As for me my favorite beauty oil is the Rose hip because it is a very nourishing oil, that does not feel too greasy, and treats acne, and removes the appearance of acne scars.
